✈Expansion of Sarajevo International Airport

Work has started on expansion of Sarajevo International Airport. Current work is undergoing on expansion of arrival area, adding more passport control check stands and rearranging whole arrival area to make it more passengers friendly. Next to follow is expansion of check in area which will include three more check in counters making it total of 15 check in counters. By the end of the year the airport will begin with platform expansion and the construction of rapid exit taxiway with scheduled completion by mid of the next year. 2017 should be the year in which airport will enter into the reconstruction of the runway and the maneuvering areas. Expansion of the airport at the current level is financed by Sarajevo Airport own funds.

✈Sarajevo-Antalya two times per week with Borajet

Borajet will fly twice weekly between Antalya and Sarajevo from June 9^th to September 5^th. Flights will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays with 100 seats Embrear 190 aircraft on behalf of Bosnian tour operator Centrotours.

✈Sarajevo-Antalya four times per week with Corendon Airlines

This year there will be more charter flights between Sarajevo and Antalya, than any other year before. Corendon Airlines flights are scheduled to operate up to four times per week from May 26^th to September 19^th on board of Boeing 737-800 featuring 189 seats in all economy class. There will be total of 56 round trip flights offering Bosnian tour agencies 21.168 seats. Antalya Riviera  is top destination for Bosnian tourist and there is indication of possible seasonal flights in the future between Antalya and Sarajevo by Turkish low cost airline Pegasus.

✈Croatia Airlines on charter flights from Mostar to Beirut

This year Croatia Airlines is the only airline providing direct charter flights between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Beirut. In the past years Lebanese national air carrier Middle East Airlines (MEA) was operating service from Beirut to Sarajevo once per week on board of an Airbus 321 from April to October. Last year Croatia Airlines did couple of flights between Mostar and Beirut making it much more appealing and easier for passengers from Lebanon to reach final destination Medjugorje, which is only 30 minutes’ drive from Mostar Airport. This year Croatia Airlines will fly the route once per week until end of October using Airbus 320 with 174 seats.
