✈ FlyBosnia HAJJ flight schedule

FlyBosnia will operate a total of 12 flights bringing back pilgrims to Bosnia-Herzegovina from Muslim's Holy City of Mecca. For period of three days FlyBosnia is leasing one more Airbus 319 aircraft from Lithuanian Get Jet Airlines to be able to operate all of its regular and charter flights without any flight schedule interruption. On 12 flights from Medina to Sarajevo, the airline will transport 1700 passengers

✈Turkish Airlines A330 at Sarajevo Airport!

Turkish Airlines operated a total of seven charter flights from Sarajevo to Medina with Airbus 330-200 aircraft. Charter flights transported 1.600 Bosnian Muslim to holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia for annual Hajj pilgrimage.

The fifth pillar of Islam is to make a pilgrimage (Hajj) to Mecca, in Saudi Arabia, at least once in one's lifetime. This pillar is obligatory for every Muslim, male or female, provided that he/she is physically and financially able to do so. This year a total of 10 flights will depart from Sarajevo International Airport carrying 1.800 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. The number of pilgrims this year has increased by 400 people, last year eight round-trip flights were operated with 1.400 pilgrims on board. All flights will be operated by Turkish charter airline Free Bird Airlines using Airbus 320 aircraft.

✈ Hajj charter flights from Sarajevo International Airport

Total of eight round trip charter flights will take pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Holy city of Mecca in Saudia Arabia. About 1400 pilgrims will travel by air. All flight will depart and return from/to Sarajevo International Airport. This year all flights are scheduled to operate with Turkish Charter Airline, Free Bird Airlines using an Airbus 320 with seating capacity of 180 passengers.

Departures from Sarajevo (SJJ) to Medina (MED) are scheduled on August 29 and 30.

This year will be the first year when all pilgrims will travel by air only, due to ongoing war in Syria.In the past pilgrims traveled by bus as well. Total of 1411 pilgrims will travel by air. All flight will depart and return to Sarajevo International Airport. In the past Air Mediterrannee was the airline flying pilgrims to Saudi Arabia and back with an Airbus 321 aircraft. This year flights are scheduled with Turkish airline Atlas Global Airlines (just recently renamed from Atlas Jet Airlines) using an Airbus 321 with seating capacity of 200 passengers.
