✈Chair Airlines to start Zurich-Tuzla flights

The route will be served by a mix of Airbus A319 and Airbus A320 aircraft. The Airbus A319, configured with 150 seats, will operate Thursday services, while the larger Airbus A320, offering 180 seats, will be deployed on Sundays. Over the course of the season, Chair Airlines will operate a total of 64 round-trip flights, with 10,560 seats available for sale.

This new service makes Tuzla the second city in Bosnia and Herzegovina to be connected with Zurich and marks the first direct air link between Zurich and Tuzla Airport. Zurich is already connected to Sarajevo, with Swiss International Air Lines operating up to nine weekly flights during the summer season.

Chair Airlines will include one piece of carry-on baggage (up to 8 kg) and one piece of checked baggage (up to 23 kg) with every ticket at no additional cost, a benefit that has become increasingly uncommon among European airlines.

✈Freebird Airlines boosts Antalya-Tuzla service

Due to very strong bookings Freebird Airlines has increased Antalya-Tuzla flights from two weekly to three weekly flights. Flights are sold and operated by GoldenTours travel agency from Tuzla. Freebird Airlines will operate a total of 84 round-trip flights, offering 15.120 seats.

✈Lufthansa to increase Frankfurt-Sarajevo!

Lufthansa launched Frankfurt-Sarajevo flights on May 03, 2021. At the beginning flights operated four times per week (Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday), increasing to daily from June of the same year. Since Lufthansa discontinued Munich-Sarajevo flights, Frankfurt has proven to be very popular, offering possibilities to connect to Lufthansa’s World network out of Lufthansa’s hub at Frankfurt Airport. With the start of summer timetable, beginning of April 2022, Lufthansa is increasing Frankfurt-Sarajevo flights from seven to 10 weekly. 

Lufthansa will have a split schedule to offer more flexibility on its long-haul connecting flights. Out of 10 weekly flights, four will arrive in Sarajevo at 10:30 pm, with the aircraft and crew staying overnight in Sarajevo, departing Sarajevo at 06:50 am the following day. At the beginning of operations Lufthansa operated an Airbus 319 aircraft, offering 126 seats, but due to flight’s popularity Lufthansa is upgrading  Frankfurt-Sarajevo route from April to an Airbus 320neo offering 154 seats.

✈Royal Jordanian Airlines to launch Sarajevo flights

Royal Jordanian Airlines will introduce two weekly Amman-Sarajevo service beginning June 17, 2022. Flights are scheduled to operate on Tuesdays and Fridays with Airbus 320 aircraft offering 150 seats (12 in business and 138 in economy class). Royal Jordanian Airlines is second airline from Onewold Alliance to serve Sarajevo, Qatar Airways is the first airline from Onewold Alliance to serve Sarajevo Airport.

✈ Air Arabia schedules Sarajevo flights from March

Air Arabia has scheduled Sharjah-Sarajevo flights beginning March 30, this is three months earlier when compared to the previous years. The airline will operate three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from March 30, to June 29. From July 01, flights will increase to daily until September 10. From September 14 to October 29 flights will operate three times a week.

✈ Wizz Air Tuzla winter timetable

Wizz Air will introduce two new routes from Tuzla Airport from December 17, 2021. Bringing total number of routes from Tuzla to 17. During winter timetable the airline has scheduled 1.344 flights (672 departing and 672 arriving ), offering 241.920 seats. The route with most flights is Malmo, followed by Dortmund and Basel.

✈ Wizz Air Sarajevo winter timetable

Wizz Air will base its second Airbus A320 at Sarajevo Airport from December 14, 2021. and introduce seven new destinations from the city. During winter timetable the airline has scheduled 1.388 flights (694 departing and 694 arriving ), offering 249.840 seats. The route with most flights is Dortmund, followed by Memmingen and Gothenburg.

✈Jazeera Airways increases Kuwait-Sarajevo flights to daily

Jazeera Airways has increased Kuwait-Sarajevo flights to daily until October 02, 2021. From October 03, until the end of October the airline will offer four weekly flights between Kuwait and Sarajevo.

✈ Wizz Air announces new destination from Banja Luka

Wizz Air has announced its sixth route from Banja Luka. The carrier will introduce flights from Banja Luka to Hamburg beginning December 17, 2021. Flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays with Airbus 320 aircraft

✈ Wizz Air announces Tuzla expansion!

Wizz Air has announced two new routes from Tuzla International Airport from December. Milan-Malpensa  in Itay and Nuremberg in Germany, with two weekly flights each. Both routes will be operated by the aircraft that are not Tuzla based. The airline also plans to increase Tuzla operations in upcoming winter season with additional flights to Basel, Friedrichshafen, Gothenburg, Malmo, Vaxjo and Vienna.

✈ Wizz Air adds 2nd aircraft and 7 new routes from Sarajevo!

Wizz Air announced today the allocation of second aircraft to its Sarajevo base. The Airbus A320 will join the fleet in December 2021, enabling the start of 7 new routes from Sarajevo to Billund, Cologne, Frankfurt-Hahn, Hamburg, Malmo, Oslo-Sandefjord and Venice-Treviso. All new routes will operate twice per week except Cologne and Malmo which will operate three times per week.

✈ FlyBosnia leases an Airbus 321

FlyBosnia has leased its second aircraft, an Airbus 321-200 from Portuguese charter airline Hi Fly. The aircraft is 22 years old, with registration CS-TRJ, configured with 153 seats (F4-C12-Y137). FlyBosnia operated this year’s first revenue flight on June 17, 2021. from Sarajevo to Hurghada in Egypt using Hi Fly’s Airbus 321 aircraft. Same aircraft is scheduled to operate its second revenue flight for FlyBosnia today as flight HFY0371 from Sarajevo to Riyadh. Currently FlyBosnia has two aircraft in its fleet, an Airbus 320 (reg. TC-OBU) leased from Onur Air and Airbus 321 (reg. CS-TRJ) leased from Hi Fly.

✈Nouvelair to launch Sarajevo charters

Beginning June 21, Nouvelair will be operating one weekly charter flight between Monastir and Sarajevo. The 1.106-kilometer sector will be operated by the Airbus 320 aircraft with 180 seats. The flights are organized by Elite Travel agency – Sarajevo and scheduled to operate until September 15, 2021. Monastir joins Hurghada as second destination on African continent to be served from Sarajevo.

✈ Wizz Air opens Sarajevo Airport base!

Wizz Air, Europe's fastest growing airline, opened its base in Sarajevo today. At the ceremony held at the Sarajevo International Airport, the news about the establishment of another route was announced. Wizz Air has added Stockholm to its list of cities with which it will connect Sarajevo. Thanks to an allocation on modern Airbus A320 aircraft, Wizz Air now offers 9 routes to 7 countries from Sarajevo. ✈Wizz Air to start Sarajevo-Stockholm flights

Today, Wizz Air has announced one more route from its new base in Sarajevo. Stockholm-Skavsta Airport will be served with two weekly flights beginning July 16^th. The airline will compete indirectly with Norwegian Air, as the Norwegian Air is reintroducing its Stockholm Arlanda-Sarajevo flights from June 29^th.  

With opening of reservations for Stockholm Skavsta flights, Wizz Air has discontinued sales of tickets for Sarajevo-London Luton.

✈ Tuzla International Airport – 2021 Summer timetable

During 2021 summer timetable Tuzla International Airport will be connected by Wizz Air to 15 cities across Europe and Antalya in Turkey by Freebird Airlines. Total of 2.320 flights are on offer with 417.600 seats. Since majority of the destinations are requiring negative Covid test on arrival, Tuzla Airport made it very convenient by installing Covid testing site at the airport’s grounds.

✈ FlyBosnia has received its first Airbus A320 aircraft

The aircraft with Turkish registration TC-OBU is 24 years old owned by Onur Air, with Manufacturer’s serial number 661, made its first flight on April 02, 1997. The aircraft was previously operated by Aero Lloyd, America West Airlines, US Airways, Avio Nova and Onur Air. Current aircraft seating configuration is 180 passengers in all economy class. Fly Bosnia is expected to announce its route network any day, but mostly the aircraft will be used for charter flights to Turkey and Egypt.

✈ Air Arabia to resume Sarajevo flights in May

Due to increased demand Air Arabia is resuming Sharjah-Sarajevo service two months earlier. The airline originally planned to restart Sarajevo flights in the first week of July but due to high interest for the flights, Air Arabia is starting Sarajevo flights on May 07, 2021. Flights will operate three times weekly until July 05, going daily from July 05, until September 05.

✈ Freebird Airlines charter flights Tuzla-Antalya

This summer season Firebird Airlines will operate two weekly charter flights from Tuzla to Antalya. Flights will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays from June 08 to September 14, 2021 with Airbus 320 aircraft. Total of 29 round-trip flights are scheduled, offering 5.220 seats in each direction. Flights will operate on behalf of Goldentours, a travel agency from Tuzla offering vacation packages to Antalya.
