✈ Air Arabia schedules Sarajevo flights from March

Air Arabia has scheduled Sharjah-Sarajevo flights beginning March 30, this is three months earlier when compared to the previous years. The airline will operate three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from March 30, to June 29. From July 01, flights will increase to daily until September 10. From September 14 to October 29 flights will operate three times a week.

✈ Jazeera Airways schedules Sarajevo flights from April

Jazeera Airways has scheduled Kuwait-Sarajevo flights beginning April 28, this is two months earlier when compared to the last year. The airline will operate four weekly flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays using Airbus 320neo aircraft, configured to seat 162 passengers (150 in economy and 12 in business class). Last year Jazeera Airways initially scheduled two weekly flights, but due to high demand increased it to four weekly, and then to daily. Most likely, the airline will operate daily flights during peak summer months. Kuwaiti national flag carrier Kuwait Airways is also planning Sarajevo flights from May. Kuwait Airways, Kuwait City-Sarajevo schedule will be published during next month.

✈Bosnia and Herzegovina air traffic report for November 2021

Tuzla International Airport

During the month of November Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded 100.576 passengers going through its four international airports. Sarajevo Airport recorded 61.989 passengers followed by Tuzla with 21.600, Banja Luka 16.834, and Mostar with 153 passengers. When compared to pre-pandemic November of 2019, Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded 13% passengers decrease. Year to date, the country has recorded 1.093.778 passengers, representing 61% of 2019 passengers traffic.

✈Sarajevo Airport apron expansion

Sarajevo Airport has open tender procedure for platform expansion worth 3 million Euros.

The existing platform is rectangular in shape with a total area of ​​38.000 m2 (including Apron Taxi line) and can accommodate 7 aircraft of ICAO code C (Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 family) or more (up to 12 different types and smaller dimensions).

On the east side of the existing platform, next to the edge of the parallel taxiway A, will be a zone of the future construction site, with a floor area of ​​approximately 18.802 m2. The work will be done in two phases.

In Phase 1, four new aircraft parking positions will be built for aircraft class C (Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 family) . The area of ​​the new stands, with four parking positions is approximately 9.151 m2. Phase 2 will include one more parking position for same type of aircraft. After both phases are finished, airport will have 12 aircraft parking positions.

Also, work on the reconstruction of the existing parking position number 1 is planned, the total area of ​​reconstruction work is approximately 2,493 m2. Approximately 3,500.00 m3 of concrete will be used to build the planed area, also extensive electrical and water drainage works are planned to accompany the construction of the extended platform with four new parking positions.

✈ Eurowings to resume Mostar flights

Eurowings plans to reintroduce flights from Dusseldorf to Mostar in upcoming summer season. Flights are scheduled to operate twice weekly from June 30 to August 28. Eurowings will operate a total of 18 round-trip flights between two cities using Airbus 319 aircraft. After two years this is going to be first scheduled air service for Mostar Airport.

✈ FlyBosnia plans to restart operation in March


FlyBosnia is planning to start flying again, this time the airline plans to operate flights from all four international airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Flights are scheduled to start from March 29 and will be operated with leased Airbus 320 aircraft. Ticket sales will start during January. Swiss Travel agency isgtravel.ch is already selling FlyBosnia tickets.
