✈ Croatia Airlines Beirut-Mostar charter flights

Yesterday, Croatia Airlines has started charter flights between Mostar and Beirut.  Third year in a row, Croatia Airlines will operate flights between two cities. Flights will run once per week, increasing to two weekly during peak summer season. Flights are pre booked by travel agencies catering to pilgrims from Lebanon visiting catholic pilgrimage in Medjugorje. In the past Lebanese national carrier Middle East Airlines operated one weekly seasonal charter flight from Beirut to Sarajevo. Flight were operated with an Airbus 321. This year Croatia Airlines plans to transport approximately 12.000 passengers between Beirut and Mostar. All flights will operate with Airbus 320 offering 174 seats (18 seats in business and 156 seats in economy class).

✈ Mostar Airport summer 2016 flight timetable

Mostar International Airport will be connected with many charter flights to destinations in Italy, primarily: Rome, Naples, Bari and Milan-Bergamo. All flights are organized by tourist agencies, catering to Italian tourists visiting catholic pilgrimage in Medjugorje. Mostar Airport is expecting same number of passengers as last year (around 75.000). With great tourist potential Mostar Airport is still unable to attract any airlines with regular flights even thought it was announced many times before that talks are being held with numerous airlines. Wizz air just recently announced its interest to start flights to/from Mostar. Mostar Airport has perfect geographical position for low cost airlines due to its proximity to Adriatic Coast to the south and Sarajevo to the north, and could offer flights to airlines currently flying to Split, since Split airport is facing capacity issues during the peak summer months. Distance from Mostar to Split is 170 kilometers. For a third year in a row Croatia Airlines will operate charter flights from Mostar to Beirut in Lebanon with and Airbus 320. 60 round trip flights are scheduled from May to October.

Mostar International Airport is expecting to finish this month with over 10.000 passengers using the airport. Today alone airport is expecting 1.800 passengers. Croatia Airlines is operating double daily from Beirut once per week, both flights are operated with largest aircraft in Croatia Airlines fleet an Airbus 320. Mistral Air, is still the airline with largest number of flights to Mostar followed by BH Airlines.

There is a great interest by tourist agencies for Croatia Airlines charter flights from Beirut to Mostar. Croatia Airlines now will operate two flights from Beirut to Mostar.

✈Croatia Airlines on charter flights from Mostar to Beirut

This year Croatia Airlines is the only airline providing direct charter flights between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Beirut. In the past years Lebanese national air carrier Middle East Airlines (MEA) was operating service from Beirut to Sarajevo once per week on board of an Airbus 321 from April to October. Last year Croatia Airlines did couple of flights between Mostar and Beirut making it much more appealing and easier for passengers from Lebanon to reach final destination Medjugorje, which is only 30 minutes’ drive from Mostar Airport. This year Croatia Airlines will fly the route once per week until end of October using Airbus 320 with 174 seats.
