Wizz air started to opearate flights to Tuzla on
31.05.2013. with two weekly flights Malmo-Tuzla. Flights were very popular and Wizz
air reacted by adding flights from Gothenburg on 17.06.2013. In the year 2014
the airline started flights from Dortmund on 19.06.2014, following with
Eindhoven on 22.06.2014. In the year 2015, Wizz air expended its operation at
the airport by basing one Airbus 320 aircraft at Tuzla Int. Airport. Stationing
aircraft and crew in Tuzla, gave Wizz air opurtunity to expend to new markets
and longer hours of operations. In the year 2015 Wizz air started flights to:
Frankfurt-Hahn Airport 24.06.2015, Stockholm-Skavsta Airport on 26.06.2015,
Munich-Memmingen Airport on 26.06.2015 and Oslo-Sandefjord Airport on
24.06.2015, which was discontinued just after five months of operations, due to
low demand. Flights to Oslo-Sandefjord stopped on 29.11.2015. During this year
the airline continues with adding new destinations from Tuzla: London-Luton
Airport beginning 30.10.2016, Billund in Denmark 31.10.2016. and Berlin-Schönefeld
Airport beginning 17.12.2016. Wizz air announced big expansion at Tuzla International
Airport for next year. The airline will base one more Airbus 320 aircraft, open
new routes, and increase frequencies on current routes. New routes for 2017
are: Bratislava, Nuremberg, Friedrichshafen, Cologne and Vaxjo, all beginning in
March of 2017. With two Airbus A320 based at the airport, Wizz air is planning to
transport over 500.000 passengers to and from Tuzla International Airport.
Great success for Wizz air at Tuzla International Airport comes from very close
work with the airport management and very low landing and handling fees, which
are 3 Euros per departing passenger. The airport has agreed on 3 Euro fee per
departing passenger for period of 5 years beginning in June 2015.
