✈Ryanair is increasing Sarajevo – Thessaloniki flights



Ryanair is extending its summer seasonal service between Sarajevo and Thessaloniki into September. The two weekly service will operate until September 29. Originally flights were scheduled to operate from July 3 to August 28. Ryanair will operate a total of 52 flights (both ways), an increase of 18 flights. The total number of available seats now is 9.828

✈ Aegean Airlines to start Athens-Sarajevo flights

 


Aegean Airlines will introduce two weekly flights between Athens and Sarajevo beginning June 01st. Flights will operate twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays with Airbus 320 aircraft for the whole summer season until the end of October.

✈ Ryanair schedules Sarajevo-Thessaloniki flights

 

Ryanair has scheduled its sixth destination from Sarajevo for summer 2024. Thessaloniki-Sarajevo flights are scheduled as summer seasonal service, beginning July 3rd. Two weekly flights will be operated on Wednesdays and Sundays until August 28th. Ryanair previously announced arrival at Sarajevo Airport with five routes to  Brussels, Gothenburg, London, Memmingen and Milan. During peak summer months the airline will operate a total of 26 weekly flights.

✈Aegean Airlines suspends Athens-Sarajevo flights



Airlines across the globe have been suspending flights or modifying service in response to the corona-virus outbreak. Athens is first destination from Sarajevo to be affected, but unfortunately, we will see more flight cuts in response to the accelerated spread of the corona-virus.
Aegean Airlines has decided to cancel summer seasonal flights between Athens and Sarajevo  due to corona-virus outbreak. Aegean Airlines introduced two weekly flights last year (from June 13 until September 14, 2019). With successful season in the year before, in 2020 the airline extended flying season until October (planed flight schedule was from May 26. to October 8). In 2019 majority of the passenger were transfer from Aegean’s wide network. The airline is planning its return to Sarajevo in summer of 2021.

✈Aegean Airlines launches Athens-Sarajevo flights


Aegean Airlines, largest Greek airline and Star Alliance member, introduced new summer seasonal flights from Athens to Sarajevo. Two weekly flights now operate on Thursday and Saturday, from 13 June. until September 14, 2019. connecting two capitals for the first time. The flights offer possibility of connections across Greek islands. In addition to the domestic Greek connections, there is also the possibility of numerous connections for Cyprus and the Middle East and North African cities.
Aegean Airlines will use 78-seat DH4 aircraft, offering economy class configurations and full service during the flight, which includes free food and drinks.

The new line will surely contribute to the development of tourism and business connections between Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the continued growth of passenger traffic, which Sarajevo International Airport continuously records year after year.

Aegean Airlines, a member of Star Alliance, is the largest Greek airline offering flights to 151 destinations (31 domestic and 120 international) to 44 countries, with a fleet of 61 aircraft.
In 2018, the group recorded 14 million passengers on its flights. Thanks to the business approach in which the traveler has a central place, Aegean has so far won numerous awards for its services. In 2018, Aegean Airlines signed an agreement with Airbus to buy 42 new A320neo aircraft and plans an additional order.

✈Aegean Airlines to launch Athens-Sarajevo flights next June



Aegean Airlines will introduce summer seasonal flights between Athens and Sarajevo in June next year. Flights will operate twice a week by Aegean Airlines daughter company Olympic Air with Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 aircraft offering 78 seats in all economy class. This is the first time in history that Greek and Bosnian capitals will be connected with air service. Flights are scheduled to start 13.06.2019. Aegean Airlines is already promoting Sarajevo as is next destination on its website.
