✈Record year for Sarajevo Airport



Sarajevo Airport welcomed 1.046.635 passengers in 2018, a 9,2% increase over 2017 numbers. This is the first time that one million passengers have been served in one single year. In 2018 airport added 88.664 passengers. With growing interest in tourist arrivals, the airport can expect to grow at 7-9% rate in the next couple of years. This year airport will see arrival of Aegean Airlines with flights to Athens, Tunis Air charter flights to Monastir and Tunis Air Express to Tunis. Turkish Airlines will increase its service from Istanbul to three daily, while Air Arabia will increase its flights from Sharjah to double daily. Turkish Airlines will increase its charter flights to Antalya from last year’s four weekly to eight weekly this year. Sarajevo Airport based airline FlyBosnia is scheduled to start operations in the first quarter of this year, with flights to Riyadh, Kuwait City and Bahrain. The airline will add around 100.000 passengers per year to Sarajevo Airport.
