✈ Tuzla airport anticipate over 500.000 passengers in 2017!

Wizz air destination map from TUZLA
Tuzla International Airport will see major expansion of Wizz air flights from March 2017. Wizz air will base one more Airbus 320 aircraft at the airport. With two Airbus 320 aircraft stationed at Tuzla Airport,  Wizz air will offer over 600.000 seats to and from Tuzla in the year 2017. With beginning of summer schedule five new destinations will be introduced and current ones will see frequency increases. New destinations are: Bratislava (BTS) in Slovakia, Cologne/Bonn (CGN), Friedrichshafen (FDH), Nuremberg (NUE) in Germany and Växjö (VXO) in Sweden. From March 2017, Wizz air will serve 16 destinations from Tuzla (15 destinations are yearlong, while only one, Stockholm Skavsta Airport is served on seasonal summer basis). From April 01. to October 31. 2017. Wizz air will offer 435.960 seat. For the whole next year Wizz air will offer 606.960 seats on its flights from/to Tuzla. The airline is planing to handel around 510.000 pasangers next year.

Strongest market from to Tuzla is Germany, followed by Sweden. Total of 7 airports in Germany will be served and 4 airports in Sweden. Most frequent destinations from Tuzla in summer schedule will be Malmö in Sweden with 133 flights in each direction, offering 47.880 seats, followed by Gothenburg with 105 flights in each direction, offering 37.800 seats. The months with most seats offered are July and August equally offering 68.400 seats.

During summer Tuzla is connected to Antalya in Turkey with charter flights, once per week with Free Bird Airlines Airbus 320. Past years around 4.000 passengers per year used these flights. Since those flights are still not confirmed for the summer of 2017, the table showing available seats is not including Antalya flights. Next year will show huge potential of Tuzla region and whole Bosnia for LCC flights and hopefully one more LCC carrier will introduce flights to/from the city. Ryan air or Norwegian air would be ideal airlines for healthy competition at the airport. Another great potential for the airport is development of air cargo traffic.
