✈Air Serbia is reducing flights to Banja Luka

Air Serbia is reducing flights from Belgrade to Banja Luka to three times per week from November 01. 2015. All flights are scheduled to operate with 66 seats ATR-72 aircraft. Air Serbia is the only airline flying to Banja Luka after BH Airlines ceased all operations in July of this year. BH Airlines operated four times per week flights to Zurich and seasonal charter flights to Tivat. As a result of BH Airlines ceasing operation, Banja Luka International airport recorded decrease of 18,37% in passengers handled. In the first seven months of the year 13.393 passengers used the airport, while same time last year number of passengers was 14.837. Banja Luka is second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina with population of 200.000. The city and whole northwest region of Bosnia could benefit from low cost airlines with flights to places with large concentration of people from this region such as Scandinavia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In the past many talks were held with numerous airlines, but due to incompetent airport management such plans never realized.

✈Flydubai continues to offer more flights to Sarajevo

Flydubai is continuing to offer more flights during the month of September. Due to high demand for Dubai-Sarajevo flights in August, the airline operated almost daily with Boeing 737-800 offering 174 and 189 seats. During Septembar, Flydubai will fly total of 14 round trip flights (an increase of 6 round trip flights).The route is very popular for tourist from Gulf countries as well as business travelers. During this month flights are fully booked on most days.  

During September Flydubai is scheduled to operate Dubai-Sarajevo-Dubai flights on following days:

✈Sarajevo Airport new record: 101.307 passengers in August

Another record month for Sarajevo International Airport. Record is broken again, in terms of passengers and cargo operation. During month of August airport handled 101.307 passengers 14,35% up comparing to the same month last year. First time in history of the airport, over 100.000 passengers used the airport in one month, previous record was 89.319, and it was achieved last month. Total number of available seats in August was 119.707. Average load factor stood at 84,64%. Huge increase is recorded in cargo handled, 512.683 kg of commercial cargo was handled, representing an increase of 435%. In coming months Sarajevo International Airport is expecting double digit growth finishing year with 800.000 passengers as projected. Good news for the airport is coming from last Western Balkans Countries and EU Summit, held in Vienna on August 27. The EU has already pledged to provide technical and expert assistance and around 1 billion euro ($1.15 billion) for the realization of several projects. An additional 10 billion euro is expected from other investors. Priority projects for Bosnia and Herzegovina include pan-European transport Corridor 5C, the modernization and expansion of the Sarajevo International Airport, the rehabilitation of the Sava waterway and expansion of the port in Brcko. From this year Bosnia and Herzegovina can apply for the funds under the EU's Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance 2, as well as seek soft-term loans from European financial institutions.The main criterion is that all projects must be completed by 2030.

✈Mostar Airport recorded strong passanger growth in August

Mostar International Airport has recorded an increase of 24,45% passengers handled in the month of August. The airport handled 13.305 passengers, second busiest amount of passengers in one month on the record for the airport, in August 2012 airport recorded 13.737 passengers in one month. Year to date airport recorded total of 54.649, solid increase of 17,77% or 8.246 passengers more comparing to the same period last year. Almost 80% of airports traffic is coming from Italy, following with passengers from Lebanon and Sweden.

✈Pegasus Airlines tokom ove sedmice dva puta dnevno za Istanbul

U period od 30.08. do 06.09 Pegasus Airlines će obavljati dva leta dnevno iz Sarajeva za Istanbul (Sabiha Gökçen International Airport). Dodatni letovi kreću iz Sarajeva u 6:55 i u  prodaji su samo letovi iz Sarajeva, naime radi se o letovima Pegasus Airlines-a iz destinacija u zapadnoj Europi sa zustavljanjem u Sarajevu.

✈Još jedan rekordan dan za aerodrom Mostar

Danas se očekuje oko 1.500 putnika koji će koristiti usluge aerodroma. Aerodrom će obaviti 18 avio operacija i dočekati i otpremiti avione tipa:

✈Aerodrom Mostar dočekao svog 50.000 putnika!

23. augusta Aerodrom Mostar je dočekao svog 50.000 og putnika ove godine , i to deset dana ranije u poredjenju sa prošlom godinom. Gospodja Marcella Sirugo je doputovala čarter letom iz Italije i dočekana je od osoblja aerodroma i tom prilikom joj je uručen i mali poklon, kao znak zahvalnosti što koristi usluge aerodroma.”Ovo je moja treća posjeta Medjugorju i svak put izaberem da letim za Mostar zato što je aerodrom jako blizu Medjugorja i ujedno i najbrži I najlakši način da se dodje do ove lijepe zemlje” rekla je vidno iznenadjena putnica.U period od 01.08 do 23.08 aerodrom je opslužio 8.656 putnika i do kraja mjeseca se očekuje cifra od oko 11.000 putnika. U istom mjesecu prošle godine kroz aerodrom je prošlo 10.691 putnik.
