Atlas Global didn’t have much success operating regular scheduled flights to Sarajevo from its hub at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, the airline introduced flights from Istanbul to Sarajevo in June of last year, just to discontinue them in November due to low demand and very strong competitions from Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines. Atlas Global is present on Bosnian market with charter flights to Antalya and religious Hajj charter flights from Sarajevo to Saudi Arabia.

✈TUI fly Belgium and Atlas Global end Sarajevo service

TUI fly Belgium and Atlas Global Airlines have cancelled Sarajevo service. Both airlines introduced flights to Sarajevo in the first half of 2017, TUI fly Belgium started its two-weekly service from Brussels Charleroi Airport on March 26, ending flights on October 30. Flights were operated as summer seasonal but after only one season TUI fly decided to cancel the flights due to poor loads.

Atlas Global Airlines started flights from its hub at Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Sarajevo on June 23 with four weekly flights, flights were scheduled as year-round, but after only four months the airline suspended its service saying it will resume flights at the beginning of April as summer seasonal. Yesterday we received confirmation from Atlas Global Airlines saying that airline will not return to Sarajevo and all flights have been canceled. Intense competition from Turkish and Pegasus Airlines have forced Atlas Global to cancel Sarajevo service. During summer season Turkish Airlines is maintaining 18 weekly flights between Istanbul Ataturk Airport and Sarajevo, while Pegasus Airlines maintains 9 weekly flights between Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Sarajevo.

Turkish Airlines also increased its service from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Sarajevo from last year 10 weekly flights to 11 weekly this winter season.

✈Atlas Global suspends Istanbul-Sarajevo flights during winter

Atlas Global began flying from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Sarajevo in June with four weekly flights. Flights were planned to run throughout the year and increase to daily in summer of 2018, but due to low sales and strong competitions from well-established Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines, Atlas Global flights have been taken out of winter schedule and will restart on 25. March 2018, as part of summer schedule. Sarajevo-Istanbul route is the most popular for Sarajevo International Airport with total of 281.482 passengers traveled between two cities in 2016 (183.915 passengers traveled with Turkish Airlines and 97.567 with Pegasus Airlines). During winter season, Turkish Airlines is flying from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Sarajevo maintaining 11 weekly flights, while Pegasus Airlines is flying from Sabiha Gokcen Airport with six weekly services.
