✈ Sarajevo Airport records over 1,3 million passengers in 2023.

During last year Sarajevo Airport handled 1.362.007 passengers, 13.900 aircraft operations and 2.764 tons of cargo. When compared to the year before,  the number of aircraft operations decreased by 10% due to Wizz Air closing its base at the airport and withdrawing two Airbus 320 aircraft from the airport, discontinuing 15 routes. Even with Wizz Air base closure the airport managed to handle almost the same number of passengers as the year before, when Wizz Air alone transported 400.000 passengers to and from the airport. In the absence of Wizz Air many airlines increased frequencies on existing routes, operating flights with larger aircraft. The current year is looking very promising with the arrival of new airlines and increased frequencies on current routes. The airport is set for its best year in history with 2 million seats on offer.
