✈Sarajevo Airport terminal construction – photo update

Sarajevo International Airport is in final stage of finishing outside work on the terminal building, while interior is being worked on and should be finished by the end of the year. Terminal building expansion should be completed by June of 2023, with installation of three new jet bridges. Airport has announced the tender for purchase of 3 new air bridges with price tag of 4,6 million Bosnian Marks. ✈Sarajevo Airport statistics for February 2022

Last month Sarajevo Airport recorded 50.475 passengers, representing an increase of 366% when compared to the same month of 2021. The January-February period airport handled 106.996 passengers, representing an increase of 344% when compared to the same time of the last year.

✈ Air Cairo to starts Hurghada-Sarajevo and Banja Luka flights from April

As an extension of the direction of the Ministry of Civil Aviation to expand the network of Egyptian airlines and diversify the sources of tourism movement, Air Cairo has scheduled two new routes from Egypt to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The airline will start to operate flights from Hurghada to Banja Luka and from Hurghada to Sarajevo, both beginning on April 29, 2022.  with two weekly flights on each route. The flights are scheduled to operate as year-round with an Airbus 320 aircraft, offering 174 seats in all economy class.. This is the first time that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Egypt will be connected with regular air service. The introduction of new air service will allow influx of more tourist traffic from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the tourist attractions in  Egypt, especially after allowing Bosnian passport holders and those arriving in tourist groups to obtain a visa to enter Egypt upon arrival at the destination airport.

✈ Qatar Airways to resume Doha-Sarajevo flights in June

Qatar Airways has scheduled Doha-Sarajevo flights relaunch after two years break due to Corona virus pandemic. Qatari national airline will restart Sarajevo flights on June 03, 2022. operating flights three times a week on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. All flights are scheduled to operate with an Airbus A320 aircraft offering 12 seats in business and 132 seats in economy class. Qatar Airways is offering connections to 140 destinations across the World through its hub at Doha International Airport.
