Last month Sarajevo Airport recorded 99.950 passengers. The
airport was only 5,1% (or 5.420 passengers) down compared to pre-pandemic September
in 2019. The January-September period airport handled 550.483 passengers,
representing an increase of 175,3% when compared to the same time of the last
year. Passenger’s traffic is 40,4% down compared to record 2019 when Sarajevo
Airport handled 1.143.680 passengers. During the last quarter of this year Wizz
Air is introducing six new destinations from Sarajevo and basing second
aircraft at Sarajevo Airport. This year the airport is expecting to handle 750.000
passengers.
