✈Sarajevo Airport see strong summer bookings

• The airlines are responding to strong demand for Sarajevo travel, by increasing flights and capacity. Just today we published one new route from Gulf region to Sarajevo, Gulf Air’s new two weekly service from Bahrain to Sarajevo.
• Air Arabia is also increasing its service from Sharjah to Sarajevo do daily from the first week of July. Due to remarkably high demand for its Sarajevo service, Air Arabia will operate a total of four daily flights on July 16 (G9311, G9313, G9315, G9317), and four daily flights on July 23 (G9311, G9313, G9315, G9317). In just two days time,  on July 16 and 23 Air Arabia will transport 2.688 passengers between Sharjah and Sarajevo and back.Today’s flight from Sharjah to Sarajevo is operated by the Airbus 321 (A6-ATF), with seating capacity of 215 passengers.

• Flydubai is significantly increasing Sarajevo service from July 12, 2021. with addition of third daily flight between Dubai and Sarajevo. With three daily flights on board of Boeing 737-800 aircraft, Dubai-Sarajevo-Dubai will have daily offer of 567 seats each way (1.134 seats in both directions).
• Pegasus Airlines is increasing Istanbul (SAW) – Sarajevo flights from six weekly to ten weekly as of first week of July. Together with Turkish Airlines flights to both Istanbul airports, Sarajevo and Istanbul will be connected with a total of 23 weekly flights from the beginning of July. On selected days Pegasus Airlines is using Airbus 321neo aircraft, offering 239 seats.
• Swiss Air Lines has increased Zurich-Sarajevo flights from originally planned two weekly to four weekly. The airline has upgraded the aircraft on this route as well, from A220 to A320, increasing a seat offer from 125 to 168.

• From June 16,  Egyptian resort town of Hurhghada, is served from Sarajevo with one weekly flight. Hurghada was initially planned to be operated by FlyBosnia, but first flight was operated by Portuguese charter airline Hi Fly, using Airbus 321 (CS-TRJ).
• Beginning June 21, Nouvelair will be operating one weekly charter flight between Monastir and Sarajevo. The 1.106-kilometer sector will be operated by the Airbus 320 aircraft with 180 seats. The flights are organized by Elite Travel agency – Sarajevo and scheduled to operate until September 15, 2021. Monastir joins Hurghada as second destination on African continent to be served from Sarajevo.
• Yesterday June 18, 2021. Sarajevo International Airport recorded 38 commercial flights (19 arrivals, and 19 departures). Total number of available seats across all the flights was 6.000. As we approach peak summer season, and with Governments easing travel restrictions future flight additions and upgrades are highly likely.
