This year Sarajevo Airport will break all-time record in all
areas of operations. As Bosnia and Herzegovina is positioning its self on
tourist map, demand for air travel to Bosnian main airport is getting stronger
every year. Currently Bosnia and Herzegovina see large number of tourist
visiting the country from May to October, even though Bosnia and Herzegovina
has huge potential for winter tourism as well. Sarajevo Airport is following the demand with planed airport expansion,
due to start in October of this year. After the necessary expansion, Sarajevo Airport
will be able to handle 2 million passengers per year. High seasonality in
flights is still main issue for the airport, during summer months there are
twice as many flights and passengers compared to the winter months.
Tables bellow are
showing available seats and airline share at Sarajevo Airport from April 1st
to October 31st 2017.
