Sarajevo International Airport, New terminal building render
The expansion of the terminal building represents a priority
for the airport, since current building has reached its capacity. The expansion
of the terminal building should provide approximately 9,000 square meters of
additional space on four floors. Estimated value of the investment is 38
million KM or 20 million Euros. Business development of the main project of
reconstruction and expansion of the terminal building is assigned to well-known
Sarajevo company "Arch Group" and famous Sarajevo architect Sead Golos. The architect Sead
Golos has designed several modern buildings in Sarajevo: Sarajevo City Center,
BBI Center, Bosmal, Hotel Europe….

Expansion of Sarajevo Airport terminal is an extremely
complex and challenging project, especially considering that the works on the
expansion of the terminal must not affect the regular performance of the airport
activities.

Besides the expansion of the terminal building,
reconstruction of the runway is also a project that will be carried out this
year. Extension of the platform for aircraft parking, will provide three additional
parking spaces for narrow-body aircraft (Airbus 320 or Boeing 737) or two
spaces for wide-body aircraft (Airbus 330 or Boeing 767). Construction of an
exclusive VIP lounge is planned, in order to satisfy needs of the business and
first class travelers.
