✈Sarajevo Airport, 17,20% growth in April!


Sarajevo Airport has handled 79.796 passengers in April, representing an increase of 17,20% when compared to the same month last year (or 11.711 passengers more). Aircraft operations recorded increase of 12,56%. Year to date the airport has recorded 221.676 passengers using the airport, an increase of 8%. Sarajevo Airport is expecting to handle 910.000 passengers this year, while next year 1 million passengers is expected.

Sarajevo International Airport will record busiest summer in its history. This summer, the Airport is set for more activity with increased flight frequencies and two new nonstop destinations from June 19.(Istanbul with Atlas Global Airlines and Riyadh with Nesma Airlines). From June 23. Flydubai will increase flights from Dubai to 12 weekly, Air Arabia will be flying daily from Sharjah, while Austrian Airlines is using Airbus 319/320/321 on its flights from Vienna. Lufthansa is flying daily from Munich with an Airbus 320. Turkish Airlines is offering 18 weekly flights from Istanbul Ataturk airport, flights are operated with a mix of Airbus 320/321 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Pegasus Airlines is offering 9 weekly flights from Sabiha Gokcen Airport to Sarajevo with Boeing 737-800. Charter flights to Antalya are set to begin on May 26, with 3 weekly flights by Turkish Airlines, and two weekly flights by Borajet.
