Tuzla International Airport has posted double digit
passenger growth for the first seven months of this year. The airport welcomed
130.111 passengers through its doors, an increase of 78,38% compared to the
same period last year. The busiest month so far was July with 33.666
passengers. The growth has been driven by Wizz Air with Tuzla Airport becoming
one of the airline bases. Wizz Air launched service to the city in 2013 and is
the only airline to maintain year-long flights to Tuzla, since then the airline
is recording great growth continuously month after month. In the first seven
months of this year Wizz air has transported 127.605 passengers to/from Tuzla.

Tuzla International Airport is expecting to handle over
250.000 passengers this year, positioning itself as second busiest airport in
Bosnia and Herzegovina. Next year the airport is expecting to handle over
300.000 passengers. With such demand to travel to and from Tuzla, it is very
likely that in summer of 2016 Wizz air will station one more Airbus 320 at the
airport and add new destinations.
