Sarajevo International Airport is facing the busiest summer
in its history. Record number of passengers and aircraft are expected all the way
until the end of September. New airlines this summer are: Qatar Airways with
four weekly flights from Doha, Scandinavian Airlines with flights from
Copenhagen (number of weekly rotations varies) and Sun Express Germany with one
weekly flight from Dusseldorf. Flydubai will drastically increase its service
from Dubai to three daily flights (compared to two daily last summer). Wataniya
Airways will also increase its service from Kuwait City, operating up to five
weekly flights during peak summer season. FlyBosnia is yet to announce its
planned flights from Sarajevo to Riyadh (replacing last year’s Nesma Airlines).
Flights should operate five times a week. Charter flights to Antalya will
operate six times weekly from mid-June to the end of August, flights from Sarajevo
to Antalya are scheduled to operate by Turkish Airlines (four weekly flights)
and Atlas Global (two weekly flights).
